Brilliance CRM & It's Humble Beginnings Over 20+ Years

Brilliance CRM ultimately started in 1992 when John was in the United States Army and learning about databases. His first database (dBase III) was built in 1992 to move troops in his unit from Germany to Louisiana.

When he became a civilian, he worked with a hospitality company and created another. He then worked with a Microsoft Gold Partner on Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Infopath, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and Salesforce. This is where the love indeed came. He moved on to the largest magazine distributor in Indiana and built their sales system, migrated a COBOL CRM system, and started building his own software/marketing company.

The software part went to the background for many years beyond creating a full-featured CRM for that company, Fawkes Digital Marketing.  When John went through some "life changes," he realized that his passion for software development was being held by him and took the ideas in his head and started building something unique.

At first, the decision was to just use the software for marketing, and is where the foundations begin. It was realized that the need was beyond anything he had thought.

Why A Brain?

The brain came from knowing that a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system is indeed a source of knowledge. Knowledge comes power, and nothing is more powerful than the human brain. Software should guide, help, and augment powerful decisions to make customers more "sticky" and businesses grow.
